A public meeting will be held by Cranston Mill Pond, LLC. on Monday, November
14, 2016 at 6:30 PM in the Kitzinger Community Room at the James City
County Library, 7770 Croaker Road, Williamsburg, Virginia 23188. The purpose
of the public meeting is to present information and seek public comment on a
Joint Permit Application proposed for surface water withdrawal from Cranston’s
Mill Pond pursuant to 9VAC25-210. Full text of the Joint Permit Application is
available at the offices of the Chesapeake Bay Nutrient Land Trust located at
5735 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23231 or may be viewed online

Cranston Mill Pond, LLC intends to submit a Joint Permit Application for a
proposed surface water use from an existing impoundment. This water supply
will provide an alternative source of fresh water to be used for human
consumption and economic development efforts in the region. The project site
is located at 6616 Cranston Mill Pond Road, Toano, Virginia 23168 and is
locally known as Cranston’s Mill Pond.

Comments on issues related to this proposed project may be made during the
open comment period which ends 15 days following the public meeting
referenced above. All public comments received by the deadline will be
evaluated and considered prior to final submittal of the permit application.

Persons requiring any special accommodation in order to participate in the
meeting should contact the James City County Library at (757) 259-7753 up to
3 days prior to the meeting. Project staff will be on site 30 minutes prior to
the start of the meeting and available to discuss the proposal. Light
refreshments will be served in advance of the meeting from 6:00 to 6:30 PM.
